Lia Alaniya, CPA, Senior Consultant

Ms. Alaniya has nearly twenty years of experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, financial analysis, internal controls, and compliance. Lia has excellent technical competence, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and high level of attention to detail.

Prior to joining NPAS, Lia worked for a regional public accounting firm where she analyzed clients’ financial information on a monthly basis, recorded adjusting journal entries, and prepared individual, corporate and partnership tax returns. She also served as a senior accountant in a Fortune 100 corporation where she performed a monthly close for ten entities with budgets exceeding $10 million, analyzed general ledger accounts twice a month to identify unusual and significant items, and prepared a monthly variance analysis and presented findings to management. Additionally, Ms. Alaniya spent three years at a national CPA firm where she provided audit, accounting, and consulting services to clients in various industries.

Lia graduated from La Salle University with an MBA with a concentration in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and is proficient in multiple accounting software platforms including QuickBooks, ProSeries and GoSystem. Ms. Alaniya resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is fluent in Russian.
